At Automechanika, NGK Spark Plug Europe announced the addition of 29 coils to its popular ignition coil range. Now, the ignition and sensor specialist has issued a new catalogue which, for the first time, combines both ignition leads and ignition coils in one comprehensive reference work. As well as adding new applications, NGK has improved the tables and imagery inside the catalogue to make it even easier for distributors and workshops to use.

The Ignition Leads and Coils Catalogue 2016 – 2017 lists all coils and leads available from NGK. Both product lines are shown side-by-side in the table section, enabling workshops to identify coils and leads for a given application in no time at all. In an additional column, users can look up the number of ignition coils required for the respective vehicle.

Altogether, the ignition leads and ignition coils from the NGK Ignition Parts brand offer a perfect match for 8,000 vehicle types in Europe, which accounts for 92 percent of the European car fleet. Compared to the previous catalogues, the update features 700 new cross-references for ignition coils, 200 of which are contributed by the ignition coils launched at Automechanika. In the area of ignition leads, NGK Spark Plug Europe even lists 900 new cross-references.

The catalogue’s image section now offers more added value: Pictograms of ignition coils now also include a picture of the primary connector of each item, while the image section for ignition leads indicates the ignition coil types related to the respective lead set. The catalogue covers 13 languages and includes QR codes which link to related product videos on the Internet. It is available immediately.
