NEXUS Automotive International has taken an important step forward in Europe with the establishment of the regional organisation NEXUS Automotive Adriatic.
Launched on the 18th November, it will enable the development of N! Members in the region to be enhanced, through mutualising and centralising service, driving innovation and making the most of business opportunities in the aftermarket.
Jakov Akmadžič, an experienced local automotive aftermarket specialist, has been appointed N! Automotive Adriatic Business Manager. He will work with N! Business Developer Hubert Slok in co-ordinating N! activities with the new organisation.
Jakov said: “Having a local organisation representing NEXUS members and their interests in the Adriatic region, means that our goals will be easier to reach, as the best practices and experiences of the worldwide NEXUS network are at our hands and can be implemented in our developing markets.”
The new structure will guarantee a closer co-operation between N! Members and N! Suppliers, creating added value for both. It will also enable greater co-ordination of important N! projects, such as the NEXUSAUTO network, N! Academy and N! Knowledge Centre, as well as furthering opportunities through the N! Sourcing Office.
N! Automotive Adriatic is composed of GMT group (Anet, Adel, IST), Gazela, EuroAuto, Debria, Rapidex, Auto Hrvatska, Kriss & Tom, SR Megauto, AutoMilovanovic, Unitrade and Jehona, all of which were previously confirmed N! members.

Also, with pressure on prices and an enhanced product portfolio extended financing is needed, and so more and more merger and acquisition activity is happening in the market.
Joining a buying group is one of the alternative methods of generating collective materiality and find new ways of working for its members. As a member of NEXUS, this brings an additional dimension to the business, and global and regional alliances within it give us more chances to strengthen and extend our competitiveness.”
