The N! Truck scored again new points and two podiums in the team championship

One week after Anthony Janiec’s victory in Nogaro, the first for the team Lion Truck Racing in European championship, the driver of the truck number 8 scored enough points to secure his seventh position in the championship.

On the F1 race track of Nurburgring, the truck grand-prix was held in front of 180 000 spectators. As every year, many activities, fireworks and a concert on Saturday night have distracted the fans and guests of the Nexus group that we received this weekend.

On track, despite the presence of additional trucks who don’t participate in the whole championship, which increased the level on track, Anthony Janiec has qualified in the top 10 Saturday and Sunday.

After a good start in race 1, Anthony had to brake to avoid Ellen Lohr and Steffi Halm who had a collision just in front of him. The trucks in left side of the track were able to overtake and Anthony was 13th due to this slowdown. After fighting to overtake some drivers, he finished the race in 10th position, the same result in the next race.

On Sunday, the yellow truck continue to progress in the hierarchy and finished 9th and 7th in both races after a long battle with Antonio Albacete and Ellen Lohr.

A weekend without failure or damage. Anthony Janiec scored 8 extra points. In the team classification, Lion Truck Racing OXXO is in second position behind Buggyra.

AU0R1908-minWe noticed the presence of Michelin on the Mercedes-Benz stand in the paddock. We would like to thanks the marketing director of France for the friendly visit to the Lion Truck Racing team to support the only French team engaged in the championship .

This summer we have planned several changes and new tests to continue to develop the truck before the next race at the Most autodrom on 29 and 3o August. See you after the summer for our next newsletter!
