Strategic partnership TecAlliance and DVSE brings together core competences

TecAlliance GmbH, known throughout the world as the industry standard for the provision of vehicle and article data and repair and maintenance information as well as for the handling of electronic business processes in the international spare parts market, announces a new partnership with the Gesellschaft fu?r Datenverarbeitung, Service und Entwicklung mbH (DVSE) in the field of master data for tools and workshop equipment. This partnership is aimed at advancing the standardisation of articles and developing generic articles for a range of product categories.

As the largest independent catalogue provider in Europe, DVSE provides services to spare parts distributors and workshops in order to make day- to-day sales of spare parts simpler and more efficient by incorporating additional information. DVSE provides flexibility and customisation of catalogue and information systems to wholesalers, where TecAlliance stands for data standardisation. Together, the two companies aspire to build a strong partnership in the field of tools and workshop equipment. “Our goal is to make significant improvements to master data so that products can be defined quickly, reliably and with greater precision,” says Ralf Pelkmann, Executive Vice President of Information Management at TecAlliance. A joint team of data experts will develop the TecDoc Catalogue tool master data with a focus on the market and commerce. “Tools and general workshop equipment are playing an increasingly large part in workshops. It is therefore important that users of TecDoc data have the best possible search options,” says Berislav Opacak, Sales Director at DVSE. The first milestones in the joint project will be visible in the first half of 2017 in the TecDoc Catalogue data.
