SKF introduces new packaging design for vehicle aftermarket products

GOTHENBURG, Sweden, April 2016 – The new SKF box design stays true to the company’s recognizable blue colour and incorporates graphic elements that pay tribute to the long company history and SKF’s areas of expertise. The focal point of SKF’s new design is a zoomed-in graphic of its iconic wheel bearing.

“The success of SKF vehicle aftermarket products is rooted in aspects that remain universally important – a commitment to quality, based on long-standing technological expertise and a true sense of customer service”, says Mia Bökmark, Head of Business and Product Development, SKF Vehicle Service Market. “Our new design highlights these values in a modern and dynamic way and it is one of many steps in our endeavor to reinforce SKF’s position as the leading brand for automotive aftermarket products within its sector.”

The packaging design was developed based on extensive analysis and feedback from distribution partners and garages around the world to ensure usability and brand recognition. It is consistent across the entire family of aftermarket products, yet distinguishes between certain product categories and regional requirements.

The packaging also features a “Quick Response” (QR) code that enables customers to easily access technical product information, fitting instructions, videos and other relevant material that help them use the products in the most efficient and effective way. QR codes can be scanned with smartphones and function as a gateway to specific online content.
