Nexus member URVI organizing the first NEXUSTRUCK event (Valencia, April 25/26 2015)

Nexus Member URVI has organized the first ‘kick-off NEXUSTRUCK’ event (April 25/26 2015) and invited around 100 people on 2 days to the Truck races in Valencia (the first race of the European Truck Racing Championship): URVI members, sales guys, customers and URVI suppliers (Exide, ZF, Sogefi, Timken, Samco, …). This event was organized by URVI in the person of Alfonso Castellano (President) and one of his top members, Camiocar, represented by Baltasar Trenco.

17-valencia-2014 2-minThey were supporting the MAN truck of the Lion Truck Racing Team, driven by Anthony Janiek, specially conducted with the NexusTruck logos: obviously on the top of windscreen, but also reau mudguards, inside of doors, and corporate clothes of the whole team. Furthermore Nexustruck logo’s were present on top of the hospitality booth, next to the logos of URVI, members and suppliers, as well as on other top locations.

Some caracteristics of the truck, which have been detailed and explained to all the participants during frequent guided tours of the Team:

-MAN truck type TGA

-6 cylinder, 12 liter engine, 1200 hp, prepared by MAN factory in Germany

-weight: over 5 tons

-top speed: limited to 160 km/h (if not, over 250 km/h)

Anthony Janiek, the pilot, had various successes: after a mechanical problem an a crash (repaired quickly by the mechanics), he finished 8th overall.
